General school policies and information can be found on the BelovED Community Charter School’s website here under ‘My School’.

For BelovED parents that have other concerns that need to be addressed, the PTO has listed below some established protocols and procedures to have your issues resolved. The fastest and most effective means of problem solving is for a parent to address any issue directly with the teacher or staff member involved, then to the leadership member(s) overseeing that particular area, then to the principal, then to the parent concerns committee and finally and as a last resort, to the Board of Trustees. See below for the step by step process parents need to follow to have their concerns addressed and contact details:

Teacher/Curriculum/Instruction Concerns

  1. Bring the issue to the attention of the teacher.  All BelovED emails follow the formula of first initial, last name @belovedccs.org
  2. Bring the unresolved issue to the Dean of Curriculum and Instruction for the academy involved:
  1. Bring the still unresolved issue to the principal, Michele Link, [email protected]
  2. Grievance committee (Committee members are a mixture of parents and teachers. Book a meeting at the front office)
  3. PTO board meeting (attend monthly PTO meetings for additional advice & next steps)
  4. Board of trustees meeting

Bus Issues

  1. Bring the issue to the bus coordinator, Dale Waul, [email protected]
  2. Bring an unresolved issue to the attention of the director of operations, Duane Moeller, [email protected]
  3. Bring the still unresolved issue to the principal, Michele Link, [email protected]
  4. Grievance committee (Committee members are a mixture of parents and teachers. Book a meeting at the front office)
  5. PTO board meeting (attend monthly PTO meetings for additional advice & next steps)
  6. Board of trustees meeting

Bullying

  1. Bring the issue to the anti-bullying coordinator, Michael Long, [email protected] and if relevant; teacher/bus coordinator/lunch aide coordinator (Daleth Escoto,[email protected])

Please note that any parents that skip the school policies and procedures outlined here will be sent back to the correct personnel. The policies and procedures are in place to provide parents with the fastest and most appropriate resolution to their concerns.
